We are delighted to share good news!  Vulcan Inc. is sponsoring our October 27th community Project Update with a $5,000 contribution to FOLKpark.

Nickels for Neighborhood

Every time you use a reusable bag at the Uptown Metropolitan Market they contribute a nickel ($.05) to FOLKpark! So do double good for the environment by reusing bags and helping to fund park improvements.

Thank you Metropolitan Market - our trees love you!

Join our active and vibrant community of lower Kinnear Park supporters in developing a plan to maintain and enhance this green oasis as a living asset for the Queen Anne community and Seattle.

FOLKpark is a local community group of residents and businesses that are working together to bring Lower Kinnear Park back to its roots as a natural urban forest and scenic communal gathering spot for friends and neighbors alike.

In collaboration with the community to revitalize this landmark urban forest, we are committed to:

  • Getting more people into lower Kinnear Park by increasing passive and active uses of the park and strengthening neighborhood connections to and within the park.
  • Sustaining lower KinnearPark's natural setting as a unique urban forest offering visitors a retreat from the bustle of the city.
  • Telling lower KinnearPark's story and celebrating its significance to Seattle's history.
