FOLKpark Steering Committee

Alan Hart Design Resource
Alan is an architect who enjoys creating relationships between things that at first glance do not appear to be connected. He brings this creative approach to FOLKpark by defining and promoting the relationship between lower Kinnear Park and the greater Seattle community.
How lucky Alan feels on a scale of 1-10: 8

Allison Hazen Special Events Coordinator
Allison is a Midwest native who has recently transported her engineering and design background to us Seattle folk. In addition to taking orders from her cat, Willow, she is also creating the structure for FOLKpark's community outreach events.
What event Allison would love to have witnessed: The building of the pyramids - engineering marvel!

Bailey Hallwachs Secretary
Bailey is a new resident of Queen Anne. She is not only living there, but is using her lifelong education in Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga Therapies to implement a lifelong healing solution for lower Kinnear Park.
Favorite ethnic dish: An Ethiopian dish, Injera, topped with cooked beans, lentils, and fried veggies. Yum!

Deborah Frausto Steering Committee Chair
A "big picture" visionary by nature, Deborah has more than two decades of experience facilitating both short-term projects and long-term goals for various commercial real estate clients. She is applying her skills and experience to guide the vision of FOLKpark's Steering Committee.
The most beautiful place Deborah has ever seen: Driving along the coastline of Big Sur.

Deb Finken Website Coordinator
Deb is currently implementing successful information technology projects for Snohomish County. A Queen Anne resident, she has taken her wide range of experience with technology to the next level by creating the design concept for the FOLKpark website.
Favorite activity: Running.

Don Harper Queen Anne Community Council Parks Committee Chair
Don has taken his passion for music and turned it into electricity. Literally. As a self-employed electrician for the past 26 years, he has continued to serve his community by channeling a more personal electricity into public meetings, especially those involving lower Kinnear Park.
What event would Don wants to see most: A space shuttle launch.

Kay Knapton Fundraising Manager
Kay, a resident of Queen Anne since 1976, has a strong business portfolio highlighting her ability to harness millions of dollars for Seattle-area non-profits. She is now bringing her economic prowess to FOLKpark as Fundraising Manager.
Favorite fashion trend Kay followed that was cool then but now looks ridiculous: Rayon pant suits in the mid-70's that looked like pajamas. Should be kept at home...not on the streets!

Matt Mulder Governmental Relations Communicator
Matt, a Queen Anne resident for the past three years, has built his career as a family physician both locally and abroad. He will be bringing both his admiration for tropical parks and his experience wheeling and dealing with government organizations to FOLKpark as Governmental Relations Communicator.
Favorite song: Come Together - The Beatles

Phil Prahst Volunteer Coordinator
Phil is a multi-cultured world traveler with a mountain of experience in connecting people with goods and services. Phil is currently using this skill to seek the help of his Queen Anne neighbors for FOLKpark's many outreach events.
What fashion trend Phil followed that was cool then but now looks ridiculous: Feathered hair in the mid-80's: ouch.
